Meeting baby Jack
We went to the hospital Friday to meet baby Jack. Ben was very sweet and wanted to hold him, hug him, and give him kisses. I’m pretty sure he didn’t understand why he wasn’t allowed to hold him while he was on his knees on the chair. He probably would have walked around with him if we’d let him. I don’t think I’ve ever seem him hold a baby doll.
He really wanted to have Jack’s pacifier so I compromised and let him have one of the nipples for the bottles. He seemed to really enjoy it for a couple of minutes and then it ended up on the floor. I think he’d love to have his paci back…

Mike was very insistent that he was going to take Jim on the school bus for kindergarten “show and tell” the day I brought him home from the hospital. He was almost 6 and didn’t understand how helpless babies are.
It’s cute and a very good thing that Ben is so interested in baby Jack. He’ll be a great older brother.
